  • 2/19/08 - A recently published Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Private Letter Ruling (PLR ltc111507) confirms Proposed Rule [REG-148393-06] dated August 20, 2007 that "Withdrawals from a qualified plan to pay premiums for accident and health insurance, including qualified LTC premiums, is considered a taxable distribution." GILICO has been following this interpretation in selling AnnuiCare®.
  • 10/31/07 - Guaranty's Immediate Payout Annuities calculator provides easy online quotes for Qualified and Non-Qualified annuities. Annuity Premium Taxes are required deductions from annuity considerations in some states.
