George Foster, Jr.

George A. Foster, Jr. was born in Pollock, Louisiana. He is the son of George Andrew and Claudia (Pardue) Foster. He is married to the former Jane Darlene Cheatham and has six children. Mr. Foster attended Georgia Military Academy (now Woodward Academy) and Louisiana State University from 1946 through 1949. Mr. Foster was in the USAAF from 1943 through 1946. He is a member of the American Council of Life Insurance and other insurance and civic organizations. Mr. Foster has been serving on the Board of the Pennington Biomedical Research Center since 1990.

Mr. Foster, Sr., founded Guaranty Corporation in 1926. Mr. Foster, Jr., has been with Guaranty Corporation since 1949 and has been Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer since 1968. He has also been with Guaranty Income Life Insurance Company since 1949, having worked in various departments throughout the company. Mr. Foster has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the life company since 1961.
